"Turning Your Voice Into Policy"
For too long, the decisions impacting our future have been made without us in the room. I am running for the 21st Cohort to ensure that young Seychellois are not just consulted, but actively involved in drafting the policies that affect our lives.
My goal is to bridge the gap between local communities and the National Assembly, creating direct channels for feedback and civic engagement. Young people must not only be spoken about β we must be listened to.
The world is moving fast, and our education systems must keep pace. We need to focus on building actionable pathways for technical skills, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship so our youth are prepared for the modern economy.
I will push for greater access to practical platforms that help youth grow and succeed. Whether it is web development, business management, or the creative arts, our youth must be equipped with the tools to build their own success.
We do not always need to look past our borders to learn something new; there is incredible talent, knowledge, and innovation right here in Seychelles. We need to break down the silos between our local institutions.
I am advocating for a Local Exchange Program that allows schools across different districts to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another. By sharing resources, student leadership strategies, and academic ideas between our secondary and post-secondary schools, we will foster a more united and capable Seychellois youth.
I believe youth engagement should not remain limited to national events or central discussions in Victoria. True change happens on the ground, in the neighborhoods where we live and interact every day.
I want to help build stronger district-based youth structures that work directly with communities. By decentralizing youth action, we ensure that young people in every area of Seychelles have the platform to participate, lead local initiatives, and make a visible impact.
I will stand for a generation that values country, community, and contribution. I believe patriotism is not just having pride in the flag β it is the willingness to serve the people standing behind it.
We need to cultivate a culture where community service is celebrated and supported. By investing in our next generation with seriousness, we can shape a Seychelles that sees youth not merely as spectators, but as the active builders of our nation's future.
